Maruti Suzuki recalls new Swift & Dzire

Maruti Suzuki has issued a voluntary recall for their popular cars, the Swift & Dzire. Both these cars, the new 2018 Swift & the Dzire which was launched in 2017 have been recalled to inspect the airbag controller unit.

A total of 1,279 cars have been affected by this recall. Maruti Suzuki reveals that a total of 566 units of the Swift and 713 units of the Dzire are subject to this recall which were manufactured between 7th May 2018 to 5th July 2018. The cars have been recalled as a faulty airbag controller unit might pose a threat to occupant safety.

Customers can drive in their cars to the nearest dealership from 25th July onwards. Car owners, whose cars are subject to this recall will be contacted by Maruti Suzuki dealers for inspection and replacement of the part for free of cost.

Meanwhile, one can also use the car chassis number to identify if their car is subject to this recall. All you have to do is enter the chassis number and check on the company website if they should be worried.
