Fronx Turbo Velocity – A Cosmetic Kit?
The Fronx Turbo Velocity Edition comes with a host of cosmetic and functional upgrades, such as a sporty body kit, dual-tone alloy wheels, LED headlamps and tail lamps, blacked-out roof and ORVMs, and a rear spoiler. The interior gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, steering-mounted controls, and a multi-information display. It also gets rear bumper garnish, illuminated door sill guards, wheel arch garnish, front grille garnish, and back door garnish.
The Powertrain remains unchanged. Buyers will get the 1.0L K-series engine that produces 100.6 PS and 147.6 Nm torque. It is mated either to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed auto.
The Fronx Turbo Velocity Edition is priced at Rs. 6.99 lakh for the manual variant and Rs. 7.49 lakh for the CVT variant, ex-showroom Delhi. The new edition will compete with other turbocharged hatchbacks in the market, such as the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Turbo, Tata Altroz iTurbo, and Volkswagen Polo TSI.
Maruti Suzuki claims that the Fronx Turbo Velocity Edition offers a blend of performance, style, and efficiency, and is aimed at young and enthusiastic customers who want a fun-to-drive car. The company expects the new edition to boost the sales of the Fronx, which sold over 1.5 lakh units in the last fiscal year.
