Maruti Suzuki launches Alto VXI+ for INR 3,80,209

Maruti Suzuki has introduced a new fully loaded VXi+ variant for the Alto hatchback. The Alto has been the flag-bearer in the budget car segment for years and the new variant with new features will try to lure customers looking for modern features. The Maruti Suzuki Alto VXi+ has been priced at INR 3,80,209 ex-showroom Delhi.

The Alto VXi+ comes with a 17.8cm, touchscreen SmartPlay Studio infotainment system. We have seen this in cars like the S-Presso, Ciaz, XL6, Baleno and other siblings from Maruti Suzuki, and this will surely add to the wow factor for the entry-level hatchback segment. The new addition SmartPlay Studio comes with fuel consumption data and driving analysis which will help customers drive the Alto better. Apart from this, the VXi+ variant gets dual tone interior colour scheme and is updated with the latest safety feature requirement. Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, speed alert buzzer and seat belt reminder for front occupants.

The Maruti Suzuki Alto VXi+ is powered by a BS6 compliant petrol engine which delivers 22.05 kmpl mileage. The 3-cylinder, 796cc motor produces 35..3 kW of power @ 6000 RPM and 69 Nm of torque @ 3500 RPM matched to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Maruti Suzuki has sold more than 38 lakh units of the Alto nameplate so far. It has been one of the best-selling hatchbacks in India for 15 years, trumping new competition which gets launched from time to time.
