Maruti Suzuki issues service campaign for Baleno & Swift for brake issue

Maruti Suzuki has announced a voluntary service campaign for their popular premium hatchbacks, the Baleno & Swift. The Swift is sold via Maruti Suzuki Arena showrooms while the Baleno is sold via the premium Nexa outlet. The brand has issued this recall for a possible fault with the brake vacuum hose of the hatchbacks.

Cars manufactured between December 1, 2017 till March 16, 2018 are subject to this service campaign. It is being reported that a total of 52,686 vehicles will need to be inspected for this fault. Maruti Suzuki will begin contacting customers from May 14th and ask them to drive their vehicle to the nearest service centre. Here, the faulty part will be replaced for the Swift & Baleno – free of cost.

Customers can check online if their vehicle is subject to this recall. One needs to enter the vehicles chassis number to find out if they should be concerned about the brake issue on their car.

Both the Swift & Baleno are popular hatchbacks. Each of them, in their respective showrooms are the most premium offering as a hatchback. The Swift has been an icon for over a decade while the Baleno once launched became an instant hit. Both cars from Maruti Suzuki come with features such as projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail lamp, alloy wheels, toushcreen infotainment, MID, climate control, dual airbags, ABS, etc.
