Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Velocity Edition Fronx in the Indian market with a price tag of INR 7.29 lakh ex-showroom. The Fronx Velocity edition features a number of aesthetic and dynamic changes through add-on accessory upgrades, exclusively available for the model. Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki revealed that the bookings for the Fronx Velocity edition is now open and the car will be available only for a limited time period. Additionally, the company also revealed that the Fronx Velocity Edition will use the Sigma trim of the Fronx as the base and will be available in the Delta, Alpha and Zeta trims as well.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx – Design and Features
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx comes with the brand’s Shape of New design philosophy and the car has been conceptualised for your buyers. The Fronx not only brings a sporty and futuristic design to the segment but also comes with ample ground clearance, and a commanding position, a sought-after feature in the compact SUV segment. In addition to its contemporary design, the Fronx also gets a lot of future proof features. This includes a heads-up-display with turn-by-turn navigation, 360-degree camera and wireless smartphone charging. In addition to this, the Fronx also comes with a 9-inch HD Smart Play Pro+ touchscreen infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx – Powertrain
Powering the Maruti Suzuki Fronx are two advanced engine options. These include a new 1.2-litre K-series Dual Jet Dual VVT engine with Idle Start Stop technology. The engine also comes with a 5-speed manual as well as a 5-speed AGS Auto Gear Shift automated manual transmission option. The brand also offers this engine in the bi-fuel CNG kit fitted from the factory. In the CNG fuel avatar, the engine return a mileage of 28.5 km/kg. For performance enthusiasts, the Fronx SUV is also offered with a 1.0-litre K-Series Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine with Smart Hybrid technology. The engine comes with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission with steering mounted paddle shifters.
