Maruti Suzuki, the country’s largest passenger car manufacturer, extends the free service and warranty period up to July 31st, 2021. The company mentioned that this extension would only be applicable for the vehicles whose free service and warranty period was due to expire between March 15th, 2021, to June 30th, 2021.
This move will provide peace of mind for the customers who could not avail of services in the lockdown phase. The prevailing restrictions and closure of various workshops had put a halt on the vehicle services. In fact, customers were also reluctant to leave their homes. But, with the vaccination process going with full flow and the decreasing trend in the cases, the situation is much better now.
Maruti Suzuki To Bring Back Diesel Engines?
Recently, we had revealed that Maruti Suzuki is indeed planning to bring back its diesel engines. For SUVs, it is pretty much clear that customers prefer to have diesel engines over petrol. The top-selling SUV in the country is the Creta, and diesel engines make up a significant number in its sales figure. And with the introduction of a diesel powertrain, we are pretty sure Vitara Brezza will sell in much higher numbers. It seems like Maruti Suzuki will first launch the diesel engine with the 2022 XL6.

The upcoming launch from Maruti Suzuki’s stable is the new 2021 Celerio. And it is expected to hit the showrooms in the festive season. The car will have a significant design overhaul with distinctive new additions as well. Recently, Maruti Suzuki launched the 5-door version of the Jimny in the Australian market. And this trim misses out on a lot of features, but there are no changes mechanically. We are not sure if this trim will make it to the Indian market, but it will be an instant hit if it does.
