Maruti Suzuki extends Free Service & Warranty period to 30th June, 2020

Maruti Suzuki has announced its extension of free service, warranty and extended warranty policies for customers whose warranty period validity is expiring in May 2020 to be covered till June 2020. The extended warranty period will offer the previous service and warranty benefits that Maruti Suzuki customers were not able to avail due to the lockdown imposed due to the ongoing CoronaVirus/COVID-19 pandemic.

As the lockdown in the entire nation has been relaxed and companies have scheduled to systematically resume operations under new guidelines from local law enforcement and concerned authorities. Under new guidelines, the brand has already opened 3,086 showrooms located in 1,964 towns & cities, 3,800 service touchpoints across 1,914 cities and 400 True Value showrooms across the country which are not under containment zones. 

For the safety of its customers and service personnel, Maruti Suzuki has laid down new SOPs that have been employed across all dealerships and physical sales channels. Talking about the service centres the brand has operationalised around 3,800 touchpoints where the new SOPs are being implemented. 

Maruti Suzuki is offering and encouraging its customers to use a new call-in & doorstep service called ‘Service on wheels’ and ‘Pick and Drop’. The brand has trained all its service personnel with new safety procedures and the brand has also equipped the touchpoints with contactless paperless systems and remote monitoring facilities. The car coming for service and being delivered to the customer is also sanitised and service advisors use safety measures such as the use of disposable safety equipment along with sanitising the keys and frequently touched points. 

The workshop staff is also being monitored for their health by recording their health parameters through a dedicated wellness app which works in conjunction with the Govt. Aarogya Setu app to track the health of all workshop personnel. The brand is also focussing on digitisation that enables the customers to demand repairs digitally, approve job cards, get e-invoice, make digital payments and give feedback. 

The Free Service, Warranty and Extended Warranty scheduled to expire between March 15, 2020, and May 31, 2020, have been extended to the new expiry date of June 30, 2020.
