Maruti Suzuki e VITARA revealed at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025

At the ongoing Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, Maruti Suzuki has officially revealed their first ever full electric vehicle for the Indian market, the e Vitara SUV. This is the brands first ever entry in the BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) segment, in an SUV body style. The full electric Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will be sold via Nexa premium outlets. Maruti Suzuki will also make India as the global manufacturing hub for the e Vitaram and it will be sold in over 100 countries, including Japan & Europe.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Range & Specifications:

The new Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is based on a brand new Heartect-e EV platform. Powering the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara would be two battery pack options, 49 kWh & 61 kWh. While max torque is the same at 192.5 Nm for both options, the smaller battery pack will pump 105.8 kW of peak power and the larger battery pack will produce 128 kW of max power. Maruti Suzuki is using LFP battery chemistry for this product and the e Vitara will come with a single-speed electric drive transmission. Maruti Suzuki claims that the e Vitara can deliver over 500 km of range on a full charge.

The e Vitara will measure 4275mm in length, 1800mm in width, 1640mm in height, 2700mm in wheelbase, turning radius of 5.2m & will ride on 225/55/R18 tyres. The e Vitara will also feature front & rear disc brakes.

The new e Vitara will be launched in 10 colours with 4 dual tone paint schemes.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Features:

Maruti Suzuki’s e Vitara comes in a conventional SUV body style, with plenty of EV highlights. This electruc SUV features aerodynamic 18″ alloy wheels, roof-end spoilers, all LED lighting, healthy dose of black plastic body cladding, bold crease lines and distinct flared wheel arches.

Inside, the e Vitara will feature a new digital cockpit with 10.1″ driver display and 10.25″ infotainment screen. Soft touch materials will be used in abundance, and modern features will include wireless connectivity, Harman sound system, ventilated front seats, 10-way powered driver seat, 40:20:40 rear split seats with slide & recline function, etc.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Safety:

Maruti Suzuki is committing for better safety with standard 7-airbags, electric park brake, all-wheel disc brakes, e-call function, TPMS and more. 50% high tensile steel is used in construction of the new platform and the e Vitara will also offer level 2 ADAS features.
