Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Dzire CNG to further strengthen the brand’s green mobility mission in India. The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire is now powered by the brand’s S-CNG technology, which claims to offer an incredible mileage of 31.12 km/kg. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire thus claims to be India’s most fuel-efficient and most powerful CNG sedan. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire already has over 22 lakh customers. The new S-CNG powertrain will further propel this number thanks to the factory-fitted CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) bi-fuel engine. With the Dzire CNG, Maruti Suzuki now offers 9 vehicles with factory-fitted S-CNG technology.

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG is offered in two variants – VXI and ZXI. Prices for the VXI model start at INR 8.14 lakh ex-showroom, while the ZXI variant comes with a sticker price of INR 8.82 lakh ex-showroom. Customers can book the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG through Maruti Suzuki Subscribe at an all-inclusive monthly subscription fee starting INR 16,999/-. Maruti Suzuki Subscribe allows customers to use a new car
without actually owning it and by paying an all-inclusive monthly subscription fee that comprehensively covers complete registration, service & maintenance, insurance and roadside assistance.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG – Technical Specifications
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG is powered by a 1.2-litre advanced K-series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine. Maruti Suzuki boasts that the engine has been developed through the brand’s world-class Research & Development facility and implemented after rigorous testing to deliver unmatched safety, performance, durability and high fuel efficiency. The motor produces 88.5 Hp of power in petrol mode and 76.4 Hp of power in CNG. In petrol, the engine makes 113 Nm of torque and in CNG 98.5 Nm of torque.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG – S-CNG Features and Safety
Maruti Suzuki claims that the new Dzire CNG is capable of returning fuel efficiency of 31.12 km/kg. Maruti Suzuki has also specifically tuned the Dzire CNG model’s suspension for safety and efficiency. The car also comes with dual interdependent Electronic Control Units (ECU) and an intelligent injection system to provide an air-fuel ratio ensuring superior performance. Maruti Suzuki also employs stainless steel pipes and joints to avoid corrosion and any kind of leakage in the entire CNG structure. The car also comes with an integrated wire harness to eliminate short-circuiting and a Microswitch ensuring that the vehicle is off and does not start during the CNG fuel filling process.
