Maruti Suzuki Kharkhoda Plant

Adding to the company’s portfolio, the new Kharkhoda-based facility is now operational in its first phase. As per the official press release, the company aims to produce 250,000 units of Brezza in the initial phase.

However, the production plant is still expanding as the construction work is going on. Maruti is set to make the complete production plant operational soon. Once completed, the new factory will be able to produce 1 million units annually.

Mind you, this is the fourth production plant of Maruti in India and third in Haryana itself. Online reports also suggest that Maruti will be connecting all three production plants in Haryana by connecting roads to increase production efficiency.

The Kharkhoda factory was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in August 2022. Back then, the company had targeted to start production in 2025, which has now been inaugurated.

With the new factory now operational, Maruti will be able to produce a total of 2.6 million units annually. The company has planned another production plant that will be set up in the coming years. With that said, the next target to achieve by Maruti is 4 million units of production.

As of now, the Brezza compact SUV will be manufactured at the Kharkhoda plant.
