Maruti Suzuki Baleno ‘Service Campaign’ to fix ABS module software

Written by Parichay Malvankar

Maruti Suzuki has issued a recall under their service campaign for the Baleno hatchback. This is due to the ABS module which needs to be fixed in this premium hatchback. It has been revealed that this is only related to a software update, and no actual part change procedure is required.

A total of 3757 units of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno manufactured around December 6th 2019 till February 4th 2019 are subject to this recall. All these cars (their customers) will be called to their nearest dealership. Dealers will individually contact customers so they can get their vehicle inspected. The software on the ABS actuator assembly will be updated for free of cost.

Customers can also check if their Baleno needs this software fix by making use of their car VIN number on the official website.

Maruti Suzuki recently launched the new Baleno facelift for 2019. The Baleno is the leader in the premium hatchback space and rivals the likes of Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz and the likes.
