Maruti Suzuki has recalled 69,555 diesel powered cars to resolve a faulty wiring harness issues. The cars affected are 12,486 units of the old Swift, 55,938 units of the old Dzire and 1,131 units of the Ritz.

Cars manufactured between March 8th, 2010 and August 11th, 2013 are accounted for in this recall. Owners can log on to the companies website (link) and check if their vehicle is listed among the recalled vehicles. Also, do not account your date of delivery, if you received the car beyond August 11th 2013, there is still a possibility that your car might be affected due to inventory pile-up. Hence, we suggest 2013 car owners to have a check at the list of recalled cars. Or one can even visit their nearby Maruti Suzuki authorised workshop to get their vehicle inspected.

Dealers will begin contacting owners of the vehicles which need this replacement. Necessary repairs will be carried out free of cost.
