The largest automotive manufacturer in India, Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch 12 products in the Indian marketplace in the near future. Currently dominating the market share, Maruti is bullish and wants to acquire 50% market share going forward.

New products to be launched will include various body styles such as hatchbacks, utility vehicles, commercial vehicles, vans etc. Confirmed cars for the near future are the Sx4-Cross, XA Aplha, Y9T commercial vehicle, Vitara, new MUV above the Ertiga, YRA premium hatchback and some other refreshed models of the existing products.

Maruti is also planning new hybrids, diesels and turbocharged petrol motors. As usual, the core focus will be on better fuel efficiency numbers.

Maruti Suzuki will soon have an annual production capacity of over 2 million units when their new plants in Gujarat are functional.

The recently launched Ciaz is already driving in good sales figures and Maruti already has a couple of more products to be launched in 2014.
