Maruti Dzire Tour S complete details
The Tour S moniker has been on sale for a long time. With every iteration of the Dzire sedan, the company subsequently launches the Tour version for taxi operators.
With the launch of the new-gen Dzire, it was made clear by the company that the Tour S would follow its launch. And now, the new cab-oriented variant is here, starting with a price tag of Rs 6.79 lakh.
Speaking of the MY25 Tour S, it is based on the standard Dzire model, specifically on the LXI variant to cut costs. Hence, it does not get fancy features like chrome highlights, alloy wheels, touchscreen infotainment or more.
However, Maruti has equipped the new Tour S with the latest Z-series 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine. It makes 80.4 bhp and 111.7 Nm of peak power and torque. As it is a tour-operator iteration, it only comes with the option of a 5-speed MT gearbox. The fuel economy for the petrol version is 26.06 km/l.
Moreover, for CNG taxi buyers, there is a CNG variant available as well at Rs 7.74 lakh (ex-showroom). It is also based on the same 1.2-litre engine but generates a modest 69 bhp and 101.8 Nm of peak power and torque. The fuel efficiency for the CNG Tour S stands at 34.30 km/kg.
