Mahindra’s XUV700 gets a massive price hike in 2023

Mahindra and Mahindra has hiked priced of its flagship SUV. The XUV700’s price was hiked from INR 32,000 to INR 64,000 across the range except for the base petrol and diesel models. 

This is not the first time that the prices of the XUV700 hiked. Over the past year, Mahindra has raised the prices of this in-demand SUV by 3 times. 

Hike in the Mahindra XUV700 diesel models

As per the new prices, the Mahindra XUV700 diesel range now starts from INR 16.39 lakh. The AX3 MT’s price has been hiked by INR 39,000 while the AX7 AT 7S L AWD’s price is now up by INR 53,000. The highest rise in price is for the XUV700 AX7 AT 7 seater which is a whooping INR 64,000.

Hike in the Mahindra XUV700 petrol models

The XUV700 AX3 MT and AT 5 seaters’ price has been hiked by INR 39,000 and INR 41,000 respectively. Variants from AX5 MT and AT including 5 and 7 seater options have a hike ranging INR 41,000 to INR 47,000. Meanwhile, the top-end Mahindra XUV700 AX7 AT 7 seater L is now priced higher by Rs 50,000.

In the calendar year 2022, Mahindra sold 65,371 units of the SUV. It is the market leader in its segment and has a market share of 45.98 percent. Further, many variants now have a waiting period of over 10 months.

Mahindra is offering two engine options with XUV700. This includes a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. Both the engines come with two gearbox options, a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. Mahindra is also offering an AWD variant that will appeal to the offroading crowd.

The SUV gets a long list of tech. This includes a 360-degree Surround View camera, Blind Spot Monitor, Driver Knee Airbag, Passive Keyless Entry and Continuous Digital Video Recording. Standard features include immersive 3D Sound by Sony, electrically deployed Smart Door Handles, Wireless Charging and more.
