Mahindra’s Bolero Neo Plus spotted testing, looks launch ready

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Mahindra has perfectly rebranded itself as an SUV brand. With the recent blockbuster launched, Mahindra is now synonymous with SUVs. This is perfectly matching with the current huge demand for SUVs these days.

Mahindra Might Bring In The 9-Seater Bolero Neo

It seems Mahindra is ready yet again with one such SUV in plans. As revealed in some recent spy shots, this looks like a pre-production unit in the final stages of testing. Bolero Neo Plus is essentially a rebadged TUV300 Plus. To accommodate people, Mahindra has increased its length by 400mm. But the 2,680 mm wheelbase remains the same as the Bolero Neo. We understand Bolero Neo Plus, Mahindra will offer a 7-seater option too in P4, P10 and P10 variants.

What Is It Like From Outside?

On the outside, Bolero Neo Plus will get the same changes as Bolero Neo did when transitioning from TUV300. This means we will get to see a new mesh grille with vertical chrome slats. Apart from the extended length and presence of wraparound tail light, there are no other visible differences over the Bolero Neo.

Engine On Offer

Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus will use the same 2.2L turbo-diesel unit. This motor makes 94 BHP in Economy mode and around 120 BHP in Power mode. Gearbox options include a sole 6-speed unit. As of now, we do not have any AMTs or ATs on offer.

Pricing Details

Bolero Neo Plus is the perfect, rugged ladder frame RWD MPV for 7 to 9. Hence, this will become a popular choice for semi-urban and rural audiences looking for an MPV. Standard Bolero Neo prices fall in the range of INR 9.5 lakh to INR 12 lakh (ex-sh). So, the prices of the 2023 Bolero Neo Plus will retail at a premium of about INR 1 lakh more than the corresponding Bolero Neo variant.
