Mahindra XUV700 still has more than 1 year waiting

The XUV700 is one of the most popular Mahindra SUVs out there. It is the most popular SUV for Indian buyers. Known for its tech-laden cabin and refined powertrains, XUV700 has been in the news for a long time. Since its launch in 2021, the SUV has been commanding long waiting periods for its impressive demand.

Mahindra XUV700 Waiting Periods

The petrol versions of the entry-level MX and AX3 trims currently have a waiting period of up to six months. Meanwhile, the diesel counterparts currently have a wait time of up to seven months. Talking of the mid-spec AX5 petrol and diesel trims, they run up to eight months.

But it is for the top-spec AX7 and AX7L trims that retail the highest waiting periods. Thus the ones looking to get the former will have to wait up to 11 months. On the other hand, those looking to get the AX7L trim will have to wait up to 13 months.

Back in November 2022, reports claimed that the XUV700’s waiting periods with MX and AX3 petrol trims had a waiting period of up to 2 months. Meanwhile, the AX5 petrol saw the wait period go as high as up to 4 months. The diesel-powered MX, AX3 and AX5 trims then had a waiting time of close to 10 months. Meanwhile, the petrol and diesel versions of the AX7 and AX7L trims have a waiting period of up to 15 months.

Mahindra XUV700 Powertrain Options

The XUV700 gets a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine making 200 HP and 380 Nm of torque. Customers can also get a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine in two states of tune. These are 155 HP and 360 Nm of torque, and 185 HP with 420Nm (450Nm with AT) of torque.

Customers have the option to choose either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. However, for the diesel engine one can opt for the all-wheel drive variant as well.

Mahindra XUV700 Price And Rivals

Prices for the XUV700 range between INR 14.01 lakh to INR 26.18 lakh (ex-showroom). The three-row version of the XUV700 locks its horns againstĀ  the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar. Meanwhile, the two-row version rivals the Tata Harrier and MG Hector SUVs.
