Mahindra XUV700 gets expensive, price hike up to INR 64,000

After the recent price hike of the Scorpio N, Mahindra has now updated the prices of the XUV700 SUV. This is the fourth price hike for the SUV since its launch. The most recent price hike for Mahindra XUV700 was in September 2022.

Mahindra XUV700 Price Hike Details

Mahindra did not increase the pricing of the base MX variants. But other variants have seen an increase in their prices. The XUV700’s base petrol AX3 variant now retails at INR 15.89 lakh. Meanwhile, the SUV’s top-end diesel AX7 L now costs INR 25.48 lakh. Mahindra XUV700 petrol is now costlier by up to INR 50,000 The XUV700 petrol trim prices have gone up by up to INR 50,000.

Among all, the AX3 MT trim sees the lowest price increase of INR 39,000. As against the top-spec AX7 AT L which sees the biggest hike of INR 50,000. The XUV700 diesel prices are now up by up to INR 64,000. Here, the AX7 MT L variant sees the lowest price hike of INR 32,000. Meanwhile, the AX7 AT sees a price hike of INR 64,000. Prices for the AX7 AT AWD, which is the most premium offering, see a price hike of INR 53,000.

Mahindra XUV700 Powertrain Details

The current engine options on the XUV700 include a 2.0-litre petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel unit. The petrol motor belts out 200hp, meanwhile the diesel comes in two states of tune – 155hp for the base variants and 185hp for higher variants. Both engines get a 6-speed manual gearbox as well as a 6-speed automatic. Mahindra offers the AWD system in the top-spec diesel-auto variant only.

Mahindra XUV700 Waiting Period

The XUV700 has been selling like hot pancakes. Thus we had seen a long waiting period since its launch in 2021. The waiting period for the base petrol and diesel variants currently is around 2-3 months. Meanwhile, for the mid-spec variants, we have a waiting period of up to 5 months. The higher-spec AX7 and AX7L are having a waiting period of over one year.
