The price reduction applies to automatic variants of the AX7 and AX7 L trims. The AX7 automatic 6- and 7-seater variants have seen a INR 45,000 drop, while the AX7 L automatic trims are now INR 75,000 cheaper. However, the newly launched Ebony Edition and manual gearbox variants remain unaffected by this price cut.
Mahindra XUV700 engine and specs
The XUV700 is available with two engine options: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 200 PS and 380 Nm of torque, and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine delivering up to 185 PS and 450 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The diesel variants also offer an all-wheel-drive option for enhanced off-road capabilities.
In terms of features, the XUV700 is packed with advanced technology and safety equipment. It includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and a 12-speaker Sony sound system. Safety features include Level-2 ADAS, seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
The price cut makes the XUV700 even more competitive in the mid-size SUV segment, where it rivals models like the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, and MG Hector Plus. With its blend of performance, features, and affordability, the XUV700 continues to be a strong contender in the market.
Our thoughts
As someone who appreciates a good deal, this price cut on the XUV700 is music to my ears. The AX7 L automatic trim, with its INR 75,000 reduction, is particularly tempting. Imagine cruising in a feature-packed SUV with a panoramic sunroof and a 12-speaker sound system, all while saving a chunk of change. If you’re in the market for a mid-size SUV, now might be the perfect time to make your move!
