Key highlights

  • The upcoming Mahindra XUV700 facelift has been spotted with a triple 10.25-inch screen layout, inspired by the XEV 9e.
  • The SUV is expected to feature MAIA AI architecture, upgraded ADAS, and a premium cabin overhaul.
  • Launch is likely in early 2026, with the same petrol and diesel powertrains retained.

Mahindra is gearing up for a major update to its flagship SUV, the XUV700, and the latest spy shots confirm a radical interior transformation. The facelifted model has been spotted testing with a triple-screen dashboard, a first for any ICE SUV in its segment.

Borrowing cues from the XEV 9e electric SUV, the new layout includes three seamlessly connected 10.25-inch displays—a digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment screen, and a dedicated passenger display.

Interior: tech-forward and premium

The triple-screen setup is expected to be powered by MAIA (Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture), backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor with 24GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Other expected upgrades include:

  • Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (VisionX)
  • LiveYourMood ambient lighting system
  • 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio with Dolby Atmos
  • Ventilated front and rear seats
  • Digital key with NFC support

The cabin will also get a new two-spoke steering wheel, revised AC vents, and upgraded upholstery, aiming to elevate the XUV700’s premium quotient.

XUV700 exterior tweaks and powertrain

While the test mule remains camouflaged, visible changes include:

  • New front grille with slanted vertical slats
  • Circular LED projector headlamps (likely placeholders)
  • Slightly tweaked bumpers and alloy wheels

Mechanically, the facelift will retain the current engine options:

  • 2.0L turbo-petrol (200 hp, 380 Nm)
  • 2.2L turbo-diesel (up to 185 hp, 450 Nm) Both engines will continue with 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes, with AWD available on higher diesel trims.

Expected launch and rivals

The updated XUV700 is expected to debut in early 2026, possibly around the Auto Expo. It will continue to rival the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, and MG Hector Plus, but with a clear edge in tech and cabin experience.
