Mahindra XUV700 facelift launch details
As per the online reports, Mahindra will not introduce any further updates or editions to the XUV700. The mid-size SUV was recently updated with an Ebony Edition, which provided it a complete black outlook.
However, a few months earlier, rumours went around online indicating that the facelift of the XUV700 would launch soon, and it will likely be called the XUV 7XO. But the launch of the BE 6e and XEV 9E have clarified that Mahindra is in no rush to launch a facelift of the XUV700.
Interestingly, Mahindra is working on an electric version of the XUV700, which is likely going to be called XEV 7E. The test mules for it have been spotted already, indicating a design similar to the ICE model.
Mind you, the XUV700 was introduced in 2021, when it received a record-breaking response from customers. The bookings and waiting period stretched over a year, and customers even paid black money to buy the car because of its popularity.
Over time, the XUV700 has received minor add-ons, which include the introduction of the AX5 Select trim and now the Ebony Edition.
It is also the most feature-packed car model in the respective segment, as the top variant is loaded with a level 2 ADAS, digital cockpit, wireless connectivity, voice commands, panoramic sunroof, adaptive headlights with booster tech, and much more.
The current XUV700 is offered with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine options. There is also an AWD variant that buyers can opt for off-roading.
