The vehicle’s unique shape is defined by a sturdy C-pillar, flowing into the trunk lid. The latest images shared on Instagram revealed the distinctive large front profile of the EV along with the vertically stacked taillights, large wheels with aerodynamic design, and the distinctive curved light bar at the rear profile.

Previous spy shots have also revealed a three-screen display that runs across the dashboard and is a first for any car in India. The e.9 wll also get level-2 ADAS, a two-spoke steering wheel, premium audio, heads up display with augmented navigation view, and many more features.

Powertrain and Performance

The Mahindra XUV.e9 is going to be the homegrown automobile giant’s first coupe SUV with a pure electric powertrain. The XUV.e9 is expected to come equipped with a 80 kWh battery pack which will be good for 400 to450  km of range in real-world conditions. The top variants could also get dual motors to support all-wheel drive and the expected power output is expected to be above 200 hp.

XUV.e9 Coupe SUV Launch and Expectations

The XUV.e9 is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2025. It will follow the XUV.e8 electric SUV, which is based on the XUV700. This launch is part of Mahindra’s broader strategy to introduce a wide range of electric vehicles in the coming years. The XUV.e9 will sit above the XUV.e8 SUV in Mahindra’s EV line-up, and could be the company’s flagship offering in India.
