Mahindra has achieved another safety standard milestone with its latest SUV, the Mahindra XUV 3XO, scoring a perfect 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash test. The XUV 3XO was a part of the three SUVs Mahindra sent for the B-NCAP test.
Test Results
The XUV 3XO received 29.36 out of 32 points for adult occupant protection and 43 out of 49 points for child occupant protection. The Bharat NCAP crash test evaluated the AX7 L and MX2 variants of the XUV 3XO, both of which performed exceptionally well.
Safety Features
The XUV 3XO is equipped with a range of advanced safety features, including six airbags, 3-point seatbelts for all seats, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and a 360-degree surround view system with blind view monitor. Additionally, it comes with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), seatbelt reminders, and pre-tensioners with load limiters. These features contribute to the vehicle’s high safety rating and ensure a secure driving experience for occupants.
Market Impact
This 5-star rating positions the XUV 3XO as one of the safest SUVs in its segment, enhancing Mahindra’s reputation for producing reliable and secure vehicles. The XUV 3XO competes with the Hyundau Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza and others. None of these cars in the segment have scored 5-stars on B-NCAP or G-NCAP

Under the hood, the XUV 3XO comes with a 1.2-liter petrol engine and a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine, both producing 86 bhp and 115 Nm of torque. It also offers a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 115 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. The vehicle features a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional 6-speed automatic gearbox. The XUV 3XO boasts a four-wheel-drive system with a manual shift-on-fly 4×4 transfer case, making it highly capable for off-road adventures.
