Mahindra Vision.S concept: What to expect?

Mahindra Vision S Concept

Mahindra is all set to reveal its future roadmap and products on August 15 at the Freedom_NU event, which will include the showcase of the upcoming Vision.S and the Freedom_NU platforms.

The recently shared online teaser shows a concept model, which is most likely an SUV. Online speculations suggest that the Vision.S model could either be an all-electric Scorpio N or the Scorpio N-based pickup truck, which was showcased earlier in South Africa.

As far as the teaser is concerned, it shows the top-down view of an SUV with a clamshell bonnet design and air vents on the extreme ends of the bonnet. Moreover, it features large wheel arches and a vertical front-end with a vertical grille.

Now, if it were an EV, it would not have such big wheel arches and fewer aerodynamic design bits. Hence, it is most probably a production SUV, which is either all-new or it is based on the Scorpio N.

Alongside the Vision.S concept, the company will also debut the Freedom_NU platform, which is likely going to shape the future of the company. It is suspected to be a versatile platform, which can support ICE, hybrid, and electric powertrains with slight alterations.

Our verdict

The Vision.S concept of Mahindra will be an interesting unveiling as it will showcase the future of the Pune-based brand. Moreover, Mahindra is also expected to showcase the near-production version of the Vision.T concept, which will house the first-ever electric Thar.e.
