Mahindra TUV300 facelift launched in India for INR 8.38 lakh

Inspired from the battle tank, as the brand claims, the Mahindra TUV300 has a squared up and tough looking design. Mahindra TUV300 which is a compact-SUV was launched in the Indian markets in 2015, and now has a new fresh update in 2019.

The facelift TUV300 comes with a new piano black front grille with black chrome accents, a newly designed X-shaped metallic grey spare-wheel cover on the rear, and the sides get black body cladding. The headlamp with LED daytime running lamps gets an added carbon black insert and it continues to have a ‘Static Bending’ cornering lamp. The fog lamps on the bumper get black chrome accents to add to the styling of the front end.

The interiors which are designed by Pininfarina, an Italian design house, now gets silver accents for a more premium looks. The 17.8 cm infotainment system comes integrated with GPS technology and a reverse parking camera.

The TUV300 chassis is derived from the Mahindra Scorpio and the safety of the occupants is ensured by the Body Shell made of High-Strength Steel. The external dimensions of the TUV300 are – 3995mm in length, 1835mm in width, 1817mm in height and has a 2680mm of wheelbase.

The TUV 300 has carrying capacity of 6+1 passengers, the boot space capacity is 385-litres expandable up to 720-litres and a fuel tank capacity is of 60-litres.

The powerplant on the TUV300 is the mHAWK100 diesel engine with a 2-stage turbocharger and an engine displacement of 1493cc producing 100 BHP of power @ 3750 RPM and 240 Nm of torque @ 1600-2800 RPM mated to a 5-speed manual or an automated manual transmission (AMT). The suspension is a double wishbone type independent front coil springs and a Multi-link spring suspension with anti-roll bar on the rear. The brakes are hydraulic discs on the front and drum brakes on the rear.

The TUV300 comes in 7 colour options including two new ones and are as follows:-

  • Mystic Copper (new)
  • Bold Black
  • Majestic Silver
  • Red+Black (Dual Tone)
  • Silver+Black (Dual Tone)

Besides the T4+, T6+, T8 and the T10 an optional T10(O) pack will be available with leatherette seats and lumbar support. The new TUV300 if offered with a price of INR 8.38 lakh ex-showroom, Mumbai. The new Mahindra TUV 300 will be available at all Mahindra dealerships with immediate effect.
