Mahindra TUV 300 facelift caught undisguised

Mahindra TUV 300 which was first launched in 2015 in the Indian markets is now being seen with a new fresh new update. The design of the Mahindra TUV 300 is inspired from the battle tank (as the brand claims) and it has a very squared up exterior design.

On the exterior of the new updated TUV 300, a new front grille comes with black & chrome inserts, the headlamp has carbon black inserts, it continues to have a cornering lamp, the fog lamps on the bumper get black chrome accents, the roof rail and tailgate-mounted wheel spare cover are finished in metallic grey and the TUV 300 also gets a metallic grey alloy wheel.

On the inside, the new TUV 300 has faux-leather seats, a revised dual tone dashboard, new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, driver and co-driver lumbar seat support, electrically adjustable ORVMs, steering mounted controls and tilt adjustable power steering.

The TUV 300 will come with a single engine configuration and two gearbox options. This new engine is a mHAWK100 diesel engine with a 2-stage turbocharger and an engine displacement of 1493cc producing 100 BHP of power @ 3750 RPM and 240 Nm of torque @ 1600-2800 RPM mated to a 5-speed manual or an automated manual transmission (AMT). The suspension is a double wishbone type independent with coil springs on the front and a Multi-link spring suspension with anti-roll bar on the rear. The brakes are hydraulic discs on the front and drum brakes on the rear.

The TUV 300 is 3995mm in length, 1835mm in width, and 1817mm in height with a wheelbase of 2680mm, and has carrying capacity of 5+2 passengers, the boot space capacity is 385 litres expandable up to 720 litres and a fuel tank capacity of 60 litres.

For safety the Mahindra TUV 300 comes with the driver and co-driver airbags as standard, ABS with EBD, collapsible steering column, side intrusion beams, seat belt reminder, anti-theft warning and digital immobilizer are available on all models.

The TUV 300 comes in 6 variants at the moment – T4+, T6, T8, T8 AMT, T10 and T10 AMT.

The lengthened version, the TUV 300 Plus is also expected to be styled in a fresh avatar soon.
