Mahindra Thar 5-door will be available only in top variants

Following tradition, Mahindra is likely to launch the Thar 5-door on the 15th August 2024. Now media reports reveal some critical information about the Thar 5-door. While spy shots in the past have revealed a lot about the upcoming Thar and this new information further excites us for the upcoming model.

Mahindra Thar 5-door – Exterior Features

Reports suggest that the Thar 5-door will come with a different front fascia with wider slats on the grille and LED headlamps and taillamps. In addition to this, the rear door handle of the 5-door model will be on the C-pillar offering a clean look from the side. Also, the 5-door Thar SUV will ride on 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Mahindra Thar 5-door – Interior Features

The brand will also be offering completely new interiors on the 5-door Thar. On the inside, the SUV is likely to come with a new dual-tone dashboard and light coloured upholstery. The brand is also likely to offer more creature comfort features on the inside of the 5-door Thar as it targeted towards the family audience. Therefore, the seats are said to be more comfortable than its 3-door lifestyle version, currently on sale.

Rumours also suggest that the 5-door Thar will be available in 3 or 4 variants. The SUV is also likely to come with features such as a sunroof and obviously a 4×4 drivetrain in the top variants. The brand is also likely to offer electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats with the new model. The Thar 5-door is also likely to come with automatic climate control with rear AC vents and possibly an air purifier.

The family-oriented Thar is also likely to get reading lamps for rear passengers. Mahindra could offer a digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment with a 9-speaker Harman-Kardon audio.  Furthermore, Mahindra is likely to offer 6 airbags as standard. The Thar 5-door could also come with ADAS to improve the safety quotient of the Thar 5-door.
