Mahindra Scorpio N Black Edition

In a recent post online, the upcoming Scorpio N Black Edition is seen at a dealership yard, ready for showroom. The new special edition model seems to be a blacked-out version of the standard car. It is based on the top-spec Z8 L trim but we assume that Mahindra might offer the Black Edition on the Z8 Select trim as well.

Meanwhile, the changes on the special edition are subtle but impressive. As most buyers prefer the Scorpio N in the black paint shade, Mahindra has completely blacked out the car in and out. On the exteriors, it gets black alloy wheels, black ORVMs, and all-black trims.

On the inside, it gets an all-black leather upholstery that is matched with the contrasting highlights of silver and piano black panels. The features list seems to be unchanged as it is already based on the top-spec. Moreover, Mahindra has kept the chrome highlights on the front grille to sustain the classic outlook.

In terms of comfort and convenience features, it is equipped with a digital cockpit, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a Sony subwoofer, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and more.

Powering the Scorpio N Black Edition will be the existing engine options that include a petrol and a diesel powertrain. Both engine options are mated to manual and automatic transmissions.

Mahindra is expected to launch the new Black Edition Scorpio N in the coming weeks. It will be priced a few thousand above the Z8 L variant due to the cosmetic changes.

Our verdict

The Scorpio N has been one of the best-selling SUVs in India since its launch. Its strong engine performance and huge dimensions are the primary reasons behind the ever-growing sales chart. With the Black Edition Scorpio N, Mahindra is set to boost sales yet again.
