Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. has announced its auto sales performance for June 2019 and the brand has registered an 8% growth in the Utility Vehicles segment in June 2019 with the sales of 17,723 units and the passenger vehicle segment saw a growth of 4% in June 2019 with the sales of 18,826 vehicles.
In times where the industry is showing a downward trend, Mahindra has positive signs to their sales numbers. The Indian car market is on course for a major change with the new emission norms kicking in, and hence demanding for more investments. This growth story is only going to fuel Mahindra to do better.
The passenger vehicle segment had sales of 18,137 unit in the same period last year, which means the segment has grown by 4%. In the commercial vehicles segment, the brand sold 19,229 vehicles in June 2018 and the sales were down by 15% with 16.394 vehicles sold in June 2019. In the medium and heavy commercial vehicle segment the company sold 705 units in June 2019 and exports reports 3,076 vehicles in june 2019. Three wheelers segment was down by 2% with 4323 units in 2018 and 4251 units in 2019 in the month of June.
The company’s overall Auto Sector sales, domestic and exports combined stand at 45,155 vehicles during June 2018 as compared to the same period last year which stood at 42,547 vehicles.

The Mahindra commercial vehicle portfolio includes – Bolero Pik-Up Extra Long, Bolero Pik-Up Extra Strong, Bolero Camper Gold VX, Bolero Maxitruck Plus, Imperio, Supro, Supro Maxitruck, Supro Minitruck, Mahindra Alfa – Load, Mahindra Alfa – Passenger, Jeeto and Jeeto Mini-Van.
