While the Mahindra Mojo is almost a forgotten motorcycle in the segment, the brand has just officially updated their website. The Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS has been priced in India at INR 1.88 lakh ex-showroom. The Mojo is the brands flagship motorcycle in our country, and Mahindra also recently updated their Gusto range of scooters with CBS.
The Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS costs INR 4,000 more than the older XT300 variant. Now available only in a single variant, the Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS skips features like LED DRLs, USD front forks and has gas charged rear suspension. The dual exhaust is also given a miss. No longer are the chassis ribs painted in gold, you see them in black on the 2019 Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS.
Powering the Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS is a 294.72cc, DOHC, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected petrol motor producing 26.30 PS of power and 28 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The older bike, the XT300 Mojo produced 27.19 PS of power while the UT300 Mojo pumped 23.11 PS of power.
The Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS rides on Pirelli Anget CT tyres, which is a good compound for optimum grip.
The Mahindra Mojo in India rivals primarily the Bajaj Dominar 400 as per the price. In cross shopping, the bike also finds rivals in the form of Royal Enfield Classic 350, Jawa Forty Two, KTM Duke 250 and the likes. It remains to be seen how many buyers the 2019 Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS finds. The bike has been slow selling, or nearly not selling at all in the recent past thanks to poor dealership and stiffer and better competition motorbikes.
