We all knew that there was a larger TUV300 in the marking for a very long time. Now, although Mahindra has made no official announcement, the TUV300 Plus has been launched in India in a single P4 variant which has been priced at INR 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This new TUV300 Plus is extended from the rear end, to offer more space and function as a full size SUV unlike the standard TUV300 which is a sub-4 metre product.

This stretched TUV300 Plus measures 4,400mm in length, has a width of 1835mm and height of 1812mm with the wheelbase not changing at 2680mm.

In terms of looks, the TUV300 Plus is identical to the standard model. The only change is towards the rear where the rear quarter glass is larger, new tail gate, spare wheel mounted on the tail gate, different tail lamps, new rear bumper and new badging.

Now, you might think this is also a 7-seater SUV like the standard TUV300 but offers more space at the back. But the TUV300 Plus P4 is a 9-seater SUV with space for 4 occupants on the side-facing 3rd row seats. The TUV300 Plus is available in black, silver, red & white colour options.

Powering the TUV300 Plus P4 is a 2.2L, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine producing 120 BHP of power @ 4000 RPM and 280 Nm of torque @ 1800-2800 RPM matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
