Written by Parichay Malvankar

The Mahindra Bolero is an icon, and it is showing no signs of getting out of the showrooms even as new strict norms for the automobile industry kick in. Mahindra has now announced a special edition of the Bolero Power+ in India in a bid to increase sales this festive season. The special edition can be ordered on any variant of the Bolero Power+ for an additional amount of INR 22,000.

Over and above the standard features as per the variant, the additional INR 22,000 for the Bolero Power+ Special Edition includes special edition graphics, new seat covers, floor mats with special edition branding, new scuff plate set, new steering wheel cover, front bumper gets an additional applique with fog lamps and a rear spoiler with stop lamps. Although the promotional image shows alloy wheels, this is not included in the kit obviously as the wheels themselves would cost more than the asking price.

Mahindra Bolero has been the most trusted utility vehicle in the Indian market for years, and remains a workhorse as a SUV in rural markets and also in the pick-up truck format for commercial application. The Bolero is also used by the armed forces and para-military which proves the faith that the nation has in this old, but functional product from Mahindra. With more than 12 lakh customers in India, the Bolero SUV has prices starting from INR 7.86 lakh and is one of the most affordable body-on-frame products in India.

From 1st October 2019, the Mahindra Bolero is compliant with frontal crash test, offset frontal and side-impact crash tests. It also comes with features such as airbag, ABS and parking sensors as per the government mandate.
