Mahinda has launched a new version of the popular e-Alfa Super rickshaw. Sold by Mahindra Last Mile Mobility (LMM), this new e-rickshaw will offer over 95 km of range on a single charge. The three-wheeled passenger carrier is priced at INR 1.61 lakh (ex-showroom).

The e-Alfa is aimed as a viable self-employment option for driver partners. It comes with the backing of higher range, best-in-class safety and comfort features.
The main selling point of the e-Alfa Super is its higher range of 95 km. IT gets a 140 Ah lead acid battery which offers 20 percent more range than before. The rickshaw comes with an 18A charger with a 12 month warranty. Further Mahindra is offering 12 month warranty on the vehicle and 18-month warranty on the battery.
The motor in the e-Alfa Super has a peak power of 1.64 kW and 22 Nm of torque. Some of the safety features on the vehicle include an advanced braking system and roof-mounted grab handles.
Mahindra’s support to e-Alfa owners
Mahindra is also offering some benefits to the owners of this three wheeler. One of these is the complementary accidental insurance worth INR 10 lakh for the driver. Owners will also get access to charging points at all Mahindra partner locations which are present in over 10,000 locations pan India.
Additionally, there are over 1,150 touch points where these rickshaws can be serviced and maintained.
5,00,000 e-Alfa units on the road
The Indian company’s Last Mile Mobility division delivered the 50,000th e-Alfa from the Haridwar Plant. The e-Alfa is sold in the passenger vehicles as well as the Cargo avatar. One of the most popular Mahindra three-wheelers, the Alfa was launched earlier in 2017 with the cargo version coming in by 2021.
Last Mile Mobility of LMM is a division of Mahindra and Mahindra that offers petrol, CNG, diesel as well as electric last mile vehicles. These include both three and four-wheelers in both passenger and cargo configurations. The other vehicles in this category include Mahindra Jeeto 4-wheeler, Alfa range of 3-wheelers, and the electric-only Zor Grand and Treo range.
