India’s leading small commercial vehicle manufacturer, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., has announced the launch of the new Jeeto Plus CNG 400, or ‘CharSau’. It is an addition to the existing Jeeto Plus range and aims to set new standards in fuel efficiency and range in its segment.

Mahindra has competitively priced the Jeeto Plus CNG 400 at INR 5.26 lakh ex-showroom. With the new model, Mahindra aims to cater to the evolving logistics and last-mile delivery needs of transporters. The small commercial vehicle also comes with many stand-out, segment-leading and best-in-class features. Mahindra also offers a class-leading warranty of 3 years / 72,000 km. In addition to this, the brand is also offering a launch offer which includes a low 1.99% interest rate. Mahindra claims this will offer savings of up to INR 5 lakh over a 4-year period.

Mahindra Jeeto Plus CNG 400 – Highlights

The new Jeeto Plus CNG 400 boasts a segment-leading range of over 400 km. This is thanks to the first-in-segment 2 CNG tanks and best-in-class mileage of 35.1 km/kg. The 2 CNG tanks have a total capacity of 68 litres (40L+28L). Thus, the SCV offers the lowest operating costs and, in turn, higher savings. The Mahindra Jeeto Plus CNG 400 comes in three colour options. These are – Diamond White, Sunrise Red and Ultramarine Blue.

Powering the Jeeto Plus CNG 400 is a 625cc 4-stroke single-cylinder engine mated to a 4-speed synchromesh manual gearbox. It also produces a class-leading power of 20.4 PS at 4,000 rpm and 44 Nm of torque at 1,600 to 2,200 rpm. This ensures superior pick-up and gradeability. Amongst all other mini-trucks, the Jeeto Plus CNG also has the highest payload capacity of 650 kg. Combined with a longer 2,257mm deck and a low INR 0.22 per km maintenance cost, it claims to give 30 per cent higher savings over other CNG mini-trucks. It also has a large wheelbase of 2,500mm for better balance and stability. At the same time, the lowest-in-class turning circle radius of 4.3-metre offers ease of navigating through narrow and crowded streets.
