Mahindra Group’s electric subsidiary, Mahindra Electric Mobility Ltd, has announced the launch of its e Alfa Cargo, an electric three-wheeler. With the e Alpha Cargo Priced at INR 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), Mahindra has officially entered the e-cart segment. The company claims that an e Alfa Cargo owner can reportedly save up to INR 60,000 each year in fuel costs. Mahindra Electric Mobility states that the rapid growth of the last mile delivery segment signifies the adoption of electric three-wheelers.
Mahindra e Alfa Cargo: Technical Specs & FeaturesĀ
Powering the new e Alfa Cargo is a single electric motor that puts out 2 PS of power. The e Alfa Cargo offers a low running cost of just 59 Paise per kilometre, making it highly affordable. Mahindra Electric Mobility has equipped the e Alfa Cargo with a dual-speed manual transmission and integrated differential. Thanks to unique yet additional High Torque Gear, the e Alfa Cargo showcases a great gradeability of 7-degrees.
Additionally, the electric three-wheeler sports a large and wide cargo tray with 310 Kg of payload capacity to fulfil customer demands. Additionally, the e Alfa Cargo offers a range of 80 Km and sports a top speed of 25 km/hr. The company provides a 48V/15 A charger on the electric three-wheeler, featuring a fully-digital instrument cluster. This provides valuable information such as state of charge (SoC), range, speed, and other vital read-outs at a glance.
