Mahindra launches Bolero Neo+ Ambulance at INR 13.99 Lakh

Mahindra and Mahindra has announced the launch of the Bolero Neo+ Ambulance. The new Bolero Neo+ Ambulance is compliant with the AIS:125 (Part 1) norms that govern the Type B Ambulance segment. Mahindra has set the price of the vehicle at INR 13.99 lakh, ex-showroom, while the ambulance can be purchased from the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) at INR 12.31 lakh.

Mahindra Bolero Neo+ Ambulance : More Details

This ambulance is based on the Bolero Neo platform. It offers a robust and rugged underpinning thanks to the Gen-3 chassis.
Compared to the passenger variant, the ambulance gets a longer wheelbase. The Indian carmaker says thanks to this, the Bolero Neo+ ambulance offers better capabilities compared to other van-based units while coming home with improved practicality as compared to the bigger coach-based vehicles.

The ambulance comes with equipment like a single-person operable stretcher mechanism, provision for an oxygen cylinder, a basin assembly and a PA system. Further, the seating capacity of the Bolero Neo+ Ambulance is D+4 and it gets air conditioning as well.

Mahindra is aiming that the Bolero Neo+ Ambulance will offer versatile performance and thereby offer accessible healthcare services in remote areas as well as smaller towns.

Powertrain of the Mahindra Bolero Neo+ Ambulance

This ambulance comes equipped with Mahindra’s workhorse – the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. This power unit develops 120 HP and 280 Nm of peak torque and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
