Mahindra entry-level W3 variant for XUV500 at INR 12.23 lakh

Mahindra and Mahindra has announced the launch of an all-new W3 variant of its popular XUV500 SUV. The new W3 variant is an entry level model and will be available across all Mahindra dealership with immediate effect. The XUV500 has set a high standard in the SUV segment with a lot of high tech features and design elements. The SUV is quite popular in the Indian market and the new entry level W3 variant will make it more accessible to new SUV buyers.

The XUV500 W3 variant features projector headlamps, power adjustable ORVMs, jacquard fabric upholstery, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, disc brakes on all four wheels, electronically operated dual HVAC and much more.

The engine on the XUV500 W3 is a 2.2-litre, mHawk 155, diesel engine with 6th generation electronically controlled variable geometry turbocharger (eVGT) that produce 155 HP of power and 360 Nm of torque coupled to a 6-speed synchromesh manual transmission. The SUV rides on independent McPherson type with anti-roll bar on the front and a multi-link with anti-roll bar on the rear. The brakes are all hydraulically operated with ventilated discs on the front and are equipped with ABS.

The exterior dimensions measure 4585mm in length, 1890mm in width, 1785mm in height and a wheelbase of 2700mm and the vehicle weighs 2510 kg (gross) and has a 70-litre fuel tank capacity.

In terms of safety, it features dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and an engine immobilizer.

This full-sized SUV was launched in 2011 and has offered customers with a quality SUV ownership experience. The Mahindra XUV500 accumulated 22 awards in the first year of its launch from auto experts. The Mahindra XUV500 has served over 2.4 lakh customers and continues to be the preferred choice among SUV buyers.

The XUV500 W3 variant is now available at all Mahindra dealerships across India and is priced at INR 12.23 ex-showroom, Mumbai.
