Mahindra commits deliveries of 14,000 XUV700 SUVs in less than 90 days

Mahindra has announced that the brand has met its commitment to delivering the first 14000 XUV700s by January 2022. Despite the global supply chain challenges faced by the auto industry, Mahindra has made sure that the brand’s flagship SUV is reaching the homes of its customers within 90 days from launch. The bookings for the Mahindra XUV700 are currently open through both online and offline channels.

Mahindra XUV700 – Fastest SUV to Reach 1 Lakh Bookings Mark

The brand revealed that the Mahindra XUV700 has almost clocked the 100,000 bookings mark since the commencement of bookings on 7th October 2021. The company claims that upon completion, the Mahindra XUV700 will become the fastest SUV to reach the 100,000 booking milestone in the Indian market. The XUV700 has been able to attract newer segments with many first-time buyers for Mahindra. Also, Mahindra reveals that ~60% and ~35% of the bookings have been coming in for the Automatic and Petrol segments.

Mahindra XUV700 – Waiting Period

Mahindra states that the dynamic supply chain issues continue to be a challenge, the brand is in the process of streamlining and ramping up production. Mahindra is also working on ways to meet its committed delivery timelines to customers. The unprecedented booking load has been overwhelming for the company and the demand still continues to remain strong. To put things into perspective, the waiting period for a majority of the variants stand at 6-10 months. While the Mahindra XUV700 AX7 series has a waiting period of well over 12 months.

Mahindra XUV700 – Price Hike

Recently, Mahindra also hiked the prices of the XUV700 in the Indian market. Depending on the variant, the Mahindra XUV700 receive a price hike of up to INR 50,000 to INR 80,000 on the ex-showroom price. Sources report that the price hike is the rising input cost as well as the freight costs. Apart from the rise in ex-showroom price there are no changes made on the SUV.
