Made-In-India Kalyani M4 vehicles dispatched for UN Peacekeeping Missions

Bharat Forge Limited recently dispatched 16  Made-In-India Kalyani M4 vehicles to the Indian Army. This is a part of the United Nations Peacekeeping deployment. The Kalyani M4 is a state-of-the-art Armoured Personnel Carrier. This vehicle gets high levels of protection for the occupants against high Kinetic Energy threats. This includes protection from severe mine blasts and grenades as well.

What Is The Kalyani M4?

The Kalyani M4 is a Quick Reaction Fighting Vehicle (Heavy) manufactured indigenously by Bharat Forge Ltd. The company mentioned that this armored vehicle is capable of carrying an Infantry Platoon in full combat gear. The Kalyani M4 successfully completed a series of extreme vehicle tests in some of the toughest terrains in India. In fact, variants such as the Ambulance and command post vehicles have been delivered to the Indian Army in the past.

Recently, the Indian Army’s northern command inducted the Kalyani M4 to its fleet of armored vehicles. This was under an emergency procurement amid the China-India border standoff.
