Long wheelbase Range Rover Evoque L revealed

Land Rover has introduced the new Range Rover Evoque L in the Chinese market. The Chinese love long-wheelbase vehicles and the ‘L’ in the suffix stands for just that. In the Chinese market, the brand will retail the Evoque L at the starting price of CNY 389,800 MSRP, roughly translating to INR 45 lakh. In the First Edition trim, the Range Rover Evoque L will cost CNY 430,000. 

Range Rover Evoque L – Dimensions

The Range Rover Evoque L measures 4,531 mm in length, 1,650 mm in height, 2,100 mm in width. The SUV comes with a 2,841 mm long wheelbase. To put things into perspective, the standard version measures 4,371mm in length, which is 160mm less than the ‘L’. The longer length also allows a longer wheelbase and 125mm more space on the inside. The second-row backrest can recline 7-degrees backwards using electronically controlled adjustments and enable passengers to stretch out further. 

Range Rover Evoque L – Design Highlights

The Range Rover Evoque L comes with R-Dynamic trim as standard, including sports kits and 20-inch alloy wheels. The Evoque L comes with a hallmark Range Rover trough grille, with a Land Rover badge and Range Rover lettering on the clamshell bonnet. The SUV also features a progressive roofline the tapers into the rear deck and features flared wheel arches. The Range Rover Evoque L also comes with taut character lines on the sides and prominent intakes on the front apron. 

Range Rover Evoque L – Engine Specifications

Powering the Range Rover Evoque L in China is a 2.0-litre engine that makes 200 Hp of power and comes with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Another option is a 2.0-litre hybrid engine that produces 249 Hp of power transmitted to the ground via a 9-speed automatic transmission. Both the engines come with a four-wheel drivetrain. 

Range Rover Evoque L – Top Features

The Range Rover Evoque L comes with features such as an InControl smart control exclusive touch system. The human-machine interface records driving-related information intuitively for easy use of navigation and other functions. The 10.2-inch high-definition touch screen can interact with the user understanding their needs. The SUV also comes with a 12.3-inch full LCD virtual instrument panel and an optional head-up display system. The Evoque L also comes with a 650W Meridian sound system with a 15 speaker output, digital mixer and Trifield technology.
