Lexus recalls LS, NX & RX in India for faulty cameras

Lexus India is recalling the Lexus LS, the Lexus NX and the Lexus RX vehicles in the Indian market. The recall pertains to faulty front and/or rear cameras on the above mentioned Lexus cars. But, Lexus reveals that as of now, there have been no reported cases related to the affected part. However, as a responsible corporate, Lexus India is recalling its cars in which the part has been installed, prioritising safety. The proactive recall involves 113 cars all of which will be inspected and if necessary the camera unit(s) replaced at no cost to the customer.

The Recall

Lexus India has revealed that the Lexus LS500/500h vehicles manufactured between the 20th of April 2023 to 9th August 2023, as well as the Lexus NX vehicles manufactured between 17th January 2023 to 24th February 2023 and the Lexus RX vehicles manufactured between 9th May 2023 to 8th August 2023 are all under the recall. A total of 113 units might be affected by the fault which is related to the front and rear camera.

Lexus has also revealed that Lexus Relationship Managers will be contacting the customers for the voluntary recall. However, customers can also reach Lexus directly by calling their toll free number or writing an e-mail, both available on the official website. It is also important to note, that no accidents, injury or death has been reported pertaining to this safety recall.
