Lexus LM MPV bags 100+ bookings in India

Just one month back, Lexus India commenced pre-bookings for the luxury LM MPV. Now, the Japanese carmaker has revealed that over 100 booking for the same have been confirmed.

Lexus LM : More Details

The Lexus LM is based on the same platform as the Toyota Vellfire – i.e. Toyota GA-K platform. The luxury MPV measures 5,130 mm long, 1,890 mm wide and has a height of 1,945 mm.

On the outside, the 2024 version of the LM comes with new vertical grille, slime LED headlamps and an LED light bar at the bar. There are sliding doors for easier access. Alloy wheels can be configured in 17-inch or 19-inch sizes.

Lexus India is offering two seating options – a luxurious 4 seat option and a seven seat option. The 4-seat configuration comes with reclining seats, 23 speaker audio system, 48-inch screen and a partition that separates driver and rear areas. Other features include folding tables, heated armrest, multiple USB ports and wireless phone chargers amongst others. Occupants will also get reading lamps, mirrors, umbrella holders and even a small fridge.

The rear seat occupants get dual sunroof, touchscreen controls for HVAC, seats and light controls. This screen can also be used for the powered blinds and interior lights.

The driver of the Lexus LM will benefit from digital rear view mirror, ADAS features and a 360-degree camera.

Powertrain of the Lexus LM

In India, Lexus is offering the LM in the 350h trim. This means, it gets a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine with a hybrid system. The total combined output of this is 247 BHP and 239 Nm.

Lexus LC500h Limited Edition : Now in India

Lexus is now offering the LC500h Limited Edition in India. The price of this car is set at INR 2.50 crore, ex-showroom. Compared to the standard model, the Limited Edition version commands a premium of INR 11 lakh. Lexus is offering specific exterior updates along with changes to the insides on the LC500h Limited Edition.

The new Lexus LC500h Limited Edition comes with a new sporty body kit. This includes canards on front bumpers, new five-spoke black alloy wheels and a carbon fibre spoiler. Lexus is offering this car in a special white exterior paint shade called the Hakugin.

Powering the Lexus LC500h is a 3.5L, V6 gasoline engine which produces 300 HP of power and 348 Nm of torque matched to an electric motor which bumps up the combined output to 354 HP power. The gearbox coupled to this hybrid system is a 4-speed automatic with CVT which altogether gives the driver 10 gear ratios to play around with in sport mode via pedals (in short, manual mode). Lexus claims that the LC500h can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed limited to 250 kmph.
