To make things even better, it features a stupendous ground clearance of 323 mm, along with the largest tyres ever produced for the Defender moniker. Customers can choose wheel sizes between 20-inch and 22-inch, depending on their use.
Additionally, customers can opt for the Limited Edition Octa One, which is priced at Rs 2.79 crore (ex-showroom, India). It will be available only for the first year of Octa’s production.
Exterior and cabin changes
Other key changes on the outside include the reworked bumpers for better approach and departure angles. Additionally, it gets a wider and bigger stance, bigger wheel arches, a revised front grille design, quad exhaust tips, and special encircled diamond graphics.
It is available in two exterior colour options with a Navrik Black roof and tailgate. These include Petra Copper and Faroe Green, along with Carpthain Grey and Charente Grey. Customers can also choose matte PPF for additional safety.
On the inside, it features new Burnt Sienna leather upholstery, redesigned sporty seats with adjustable bolster support and integrated headrests, and a 700W 15-speaker Meridian music system.
It is also equipped with an Octa Mode that offers a sporty performance by adjusting the exhaust note, ABS sensitivity, revised gearshifts, and an off-road launch function.
Engine and performance
Powering the Defender Octa is a 4.4-litre, bi-turbo, V8 engine that makes 626 bhp and 800 Nm of peak output. It is mated to an 8-speed transmission that propels it from 0-100 km/h in just 4 seconds.
