Well, we have been hearing about the Indian car industry facing tough times and slow down in terms of sales. But those who have the money, well, nothing is stopping them from buying exotic cars. Lamborghini India has announced that they have delivered the 50th Urus SUV in India which makes this SUV the fastest Lamborghini model ever to reach such a sales milestone, in just 12 months since launch.

Lamborghini India revealed that buyers for the Urus were first time customers for the brand, and hence, the Urus has added plenty of value overall in the Indian market. Also, it is attracting potential customers from unexpected regions here in India. A powerful luxury SUV, the Lamborghini Urus has the true Lamborghini DNA of razor sharp handling and explosive performance, along with being practical to driver over unknown & broken terrain. The Urus makes more sense in India than any other Lamborghini does thanks to our road conditions. With good off-road abilities, the Urus is a very versatile exotic car to buy in India.

Powering the Lamborghini Urus here in our market is a 4.0L, V8, twin-turbocharged gasoline motor producing 650 HP of power @ 6000 RPM and 850 Nm of torque @ 2250 RPM. This results in 162.7 HP of power / litre of engine capacity, and is one of the highest outputs in the class with best-in-class power to weight ratio of 3.38 kg / HP. Lamborghini claims that the Urus can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 3.6 seconds, o-200 kmph in 12.8 seconds and has a top whack of 305 kmph. Yes it is a big SUV, but the Urus claims an impressive stopping distance of 100 kmph to 0 in 33.7 metres.

Since this is an SUV, the Urus comes with 6 driving modes via the Tamburo mode selector on the centre console. Driving modes include Strada, Sport, Corsa, Neve for snow and Terra for off-roading. Lamborghini claims that the Urus SUV has all the characteristics for an Aventator and Huracan; but is still distinct enough to lure customers who own either of these 2 models as well.
