Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica launched in India at INR 4.04 crore

Around four months after its international debut, Lamborghini India launched the latest version of its V10 supercar, the Huracan Tecnica, in India. As the last naturally-aspirated V10 Lamborghini, the Tecnica is indeed special.

In India, the Huracan Tecnica will come with a sticker price of INR 4.04 crore ex-showroom. Thus, it sits right in between the Huracan EVO, which retails for INR 3.73 crore ex-showroom and the more hardcore Huracan STO, which costs INR 4.99 crore ex-showroom.

Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica – Highlights

The Huracan Tecnica’s exterior design draws inspiration from the Terzo Millenio concept. It’s also the first Huracan to use air curtains. The front gets a new splitter, which sits lower and helps with downforce and cooling. In profile, the Huracan Tecnica is 61 mm longer than the EVO. However, the width and height remain the same. The Tecnica also features centre-locking 21-inch diamond cut alloy wheels with a hexagonal design.

The rear gets a new vertical glass window which helps with visibility. Meanwhile, the new carbon fibre hood shows off the engine. The rear bumper gets a new design, optimised air inlet and a diffuser. The exhaust pipes also get a new hexagonal shape. Completing the rear look is a new fixed rear wing. Lamborghini claims it improves the downforce by 35 per cent compared to the Huracen EVO RWD. However, the additional downforce does not affect the drag. The brand claims it is 20 per cent lower than before, thus improving the aerodynamic balance.

Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica – Powertrain

Under the skin, the Huracan Tecnica shares a lot with the track-focused STO. Thus, it uses a 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine with 640 PS and 565 Nm of torque. Like the STO, it sends power to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It also has a fixed steering ratio and rear-wheel steering. In terms of performance, the Huracan Tecnica completes the o to 100 kmph sprint in 3.2 seconds. Meanwhile, the 0 to 200 kmph run takes 9.1 seconds and tops out at 325 kmph.
