KTM reveals Super Adventure prototype, could get an automatic gearbox

KTM has revealed that the brand is currently testing the new Super Adventure with an AMT automatic gearbox. The test prototype which is likely to be based on the 1390 Super Adventure teases us with a livery depicting AMT lettering. Also the prototype motorcycle’s instruments cluster also reveals that it is an AMT gearbox motorcycle.

When Will the Super Adventure Debut?

The teaser reveals that French enduro rider and two-time world-champion Johnny Aubert is testing the new motorcycle prototype at the Erzberg Rodeo. However, the brand has not revealed any performance specific details. However, the brand through its special microsite revealed that the new motorcycle will make its debut sometime on late September 2024.

According to the KTM teaser, the upcoming KTM motorcycle prototype is being tested at the Erzberg Rodeo. The Erzberg Rodeo is one of the largest hard enduro held annually in May or June. The Erzberg Rodeo is also part of the Red Bull Enduro Series which includes Red Bull Romaniacs, Red Bull Minas Riders, Red Bull Megawatt, Red Bull Sea to Sky, and Roof of Africa.

While the technical specifications of the new Super Adventure AMT are still scarce, the brand is likely to offer the motorcycle with a gear lever on the foot as well as upshift and downshift buttons on the left switch cube. However, a clutch lever appears to be missing.

What to Expect?

The KTM Super Adventure AMT is also likely to come with long travel suspension, spoked wheels, and a full off-road spec suite. The prototype also features front disc brake covers however, it could be used only for the Enduro event and may not make it to the production version of the motorcycle. KTM is expected reveal more details on the AMT Super Adventure in the coming weeks.
