KTM RC 125 & RC 200 get a price hike

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

KTM India has hiked the prices for its fully-faired motorcycles, RC 125 and RC 200. Thankfully, the price hike is not too much compared to the hike we saw in May 2022. The 125cc model is now costlier by INR 1,779; meanwhile, the 200cc trim has become dearer by INR 1,427. With the updated prices, the KTM RC 125 now retails at an ex-showroom price of INR 2,14,688.

Meanwhile, the KTM RC 200 will come with a price tag of INR 1,88,640 ex-showroom. KTM has not given us any specific reason for the price hike. But, we understand that with the increase in input cost and the global supply chain issues, production costs are also rising. Not just with KTM, a host of other automotive firms have announced a similar price hike for their range of products.

KTM RC Series – The Favourite In The Segment

With the price hike, both the RC 125 and RC 200 are the most expensive motorcycle in their respective segments. Both the motorcycles look quite scintillating and come with a host of modern equipment and features. With the reputation and fan following of KTM India, both motorcycles are already selling in good numbers. The recent comprehensive update has made the KTM lineup of motorcycles even more appealing to the customers. Thus, KTM being a very popular brand in the country, we do not expect this price hike to affect the sales much.

The RC 125 gets a 124.7cc, liquid-cooled engine that produces 14.75bhp and 12Nm. Meanwhile, the 200cc trim uses a 199.5cc mill that makes 25.4bhp and 19.5Nm. Both the motorcycles use a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch. Other shared parts include a premium WP suspension setup, ByBre brakes, steel trellis frame, LED turn signal indicators, 13.7-litre fuel tank, and a data-packed fully-digital instrument cluster.
