KTM launches BS6 compliant RC 200 & all-new 200 Duke

KTM has announced the launch of the all-new 2020 KTM 200 Duke and RC 200 here in India. The new 2020 line-up from KTM will now be BSVI emission compliant which shows the company’s commitment towards an environmentally friendly future. The two new colours available on the all-new 2020 KTM 200 Duke are Electronic Orange & Ceramic White. The 2020 BSVI compliant KTM 200 Duke is priced at INR 1,72,749 ex-showroom, Delhi which is INR 10,496 higher than the BSIV 200 Duke priced at INR 1,62,253 ex-showroom, Delhi. The BSVI RC 200 is priced at INR 1,96,768 ex-showroom, Delhi and sees a price change of INR 6,138 as compared to the BSIV RC 200 priced at INR 1,90,630 ex-showroom, Delhi. Both the KTM 200 Duke and the KTM RC 200 are now available for sale at KTM outlets.

The new 200 Duke gets a completely new design inspired by the brand’s flagship 1290 Super Duke R. The 2020 KTM 200 Duke now comes with an upgraded split trellis chassis, new tank design and new headlights with LED daytime running lights. The fuel tank capacity has now been increased considerably from 10.2 litres to 13.5 litres which now allows a 30% additional range. 

The new KTM 200 Duke is powered by a BSVI compliant 199.5cc, single-cylinder, 4-Valve, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, DOHC engine that produces 25 PS of power @ 10,000 rpm and 19.3 Nm of torque @ 8,000 rpm. The motorcycle comes with a split steel trellis frame with 43mm diameter WP upside-down front forks and a WP monoshock on the rear. The motorcycle gets 300mm single disc with 4-piston fixed calipers on the front and a 230mm single disc with a single-piston floating caliper on the rear along with a Bosch dual-channel ABS.

The RC 200 which is the Race Competition derivative of the 200 Duke replicates almost all of the technical specifications except the fuel tank capacity and the weight. Where the 200 Duke now gets an upgraded 13.5-litre fuel tank the RC 200 gets a 9.5-litre tank. With regards to weight, the 200 Duke weighs in at 150.3 kgs (W/O Fuel) and the RC 200 is 4.1 kgs heavier and weighs in at 154.4 kgs (W/O Fuel).
