KTM 390 Adventure and 250 Adventure are one of the most exciting offerings. Both motorcycles have received an overwhelming response from the motorcycling community. But, there’s one key aspect that puts down some prospective customers. This is the seat height of the KTM 390 Adventure and 250 Adventure at 855mm. With this given seat height, It’s quite tall for anyone with an average height. And thus some have to use the tip-toeing technique, which isn’t exactly confidence inspiring. Thus, KTM has come up with a fix for this. They are launching a new variant with a low seat height which will likely go on sale soon.
KTM 390 Adventure and 250 Adventure Low Seat Height Variant
We are aware that KTM has been working on this low-seat-height variant of the 390 Adventure and 250 Adventure for quite some time now. In fact, the motorcycle maker had also installed lower rear suspension units. This was for a few customer motorcycles to test them out and gather feedback. Recently, spy shots of a motorcycle at KTM Andheri, Mumbai emerged. Upon close scrutiny, it appears one of the first showrooms to have received the low-seat motorcycle.
More Customers For 390/250 ADV Now
Other reports claim that, unlike the lowered monoshock height motorcycles that were earlier being tested. The production version units will have lower suspensions set at both the front and the back. Thus, we believe that the travel and spring rates have a different setup from the standard motorcycle. Noteworthy to mention is that ground clearance hasn’t been affected much.
With the lowered seat height, the 390/250 ADV is more accessible. But as of now, KTM is yet to disclose the exact height and specifications of the lowered variant.
KTM 390 Adventure Wire-Spoke Rim Version
Apart from the low-seat-height variant, it seems KTM also has plans to launch the 390 Adventure in a new wire-spoke-wheel-equipped version. We have seen this motorcycle in the international markets recently. This is the perfect choice for those wanting a more off-road capable KTM 390 Adventure. This variant of the motorcycle also gets adjustable suspension in international markets. But, we are not sure if KTM will offer the same for the Indian market or not.
