Kia India’s two popular SUVs, the Kia Sonet compact SUV and the Kia Seltos SUV, are likely to receive a price hike. According to sources, the Kia Sonet and Seltos will receive a price hike from September 2021. But the document does not reveal how much the brand will increase the price over the ex-showroom cost. The surge in the ex-showroom price is likely to be because of the rise in material cost and transportation.
The Kia Sonet recently got an update in terms of the features and trim options. The new Kia Sonet comes with Kia’s latest brand logo. The car also gets updated to the vehicle’s interiors, such as retractable rear window curtains and steering mounted Paddle Shifters. The vehicle also comes with a Voice command to Open & Close the sunroof.
The compact SUV also comes with upgraded safety features such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Brake Assist (BA), Hill Assist Control (HAC). Kia, during this update, also added Multidrive and traction mode along with push-button start/stop and remote engine start. The Sonet, during the update, features chrome door handles and ‘Crystal-Cut’ alloy wheels for the year 2021.
For 2021, the Kia Seltos also got the new brand logo and other safety updates. Kia India also launched the new X Line variant on the Seltos in the Indian market. The Kia Seltos X Line comes with a starting price tag of INR 17.79 lakh ex-showroom. The SUV features an ‘Xclusive Matte Graphite’ colour. Other than the new colour, the car also comes with various trim accents in Sun Orange. These accents cover the piano black front and rear skid plate. The SUV also comes with a Matte Graphite Grille with a Piano Black outline. The X Line also gets 18-inch Crystal cut Matte Graphite Alloy Wheels.
